SkyVenture Orlando - Drop In for a Great Time

SkyVenture Orlando offers perhaps the most fun you can have without having to jump out of an airplane. This is your chance to see what it is like to freefall without the need for a parachute in their specially designed wind column. This truly is a fun adventure for kids of all ages; the only restrictions are ages 3 and up, along with a weight restriction for the very large. They also do not recommend it for anyone who has shoulder problems as the flight positions and wind may aggravate these.

Prior to flying you are given a 15 minute training class that includes a video explaining everything you need to know from optimum flight positions, to the hand signals your trainer will use while you are in the simulator.

Once you have received your training, you are ready to be suited up in a jumpsuit, knee and shoulder pads, goggles and a helmet before you head off to the simulator. The SkyVenture simulator is a 5 five story tall glass walled building that allows waiting flyers to watch the person ahead of them having fun.

The 120 mile per hour winds will carry you aloft, only your skill in maintaining the proper form determines how much air you can catch, although if you start to go to high your trainer will gently pull you back down for safety. You get two 60 second flights for your money and it is money well spent as you will leave wanting more.

SkyVenture Orlando is located at 6805 Visitor's Circle in Orlando Florida, take exit 75A off of I-4 just across form Wet n' Wild on International Drive. Remember to dress for the weather as the inside of the wind tunnel is not heated or air conditioned. Hours of operation are 11:30 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m.-10:00p.m. Friday and Saturday.
